VP Engineering

Location: Bay Area (Remote anywhere is the US is okay too)

We're a seed-funded startup that is revolutionizing how live music is booked. We need an entrepreneurial Ruby on Rails guru who can join us full-time and be our go-to engineering resource. You should be capable of both strategic level thinking and also actual full stack nuts and bolts engineering.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Conceiving and executing engineering projects to support the mission of the company. Developing and managing additional engineering resources as required
• Rigging our systems for scale
• Creating, managing, and maintaining appropriate business intelligence tools

Ideally, you have:

• Full-stack Ruby on Rails (RoR) experience. Everything from databases to even basic html. Some javascript experience is a plus.
• Experience with, or interest in, managing other on-shore or off-shore engineers.
• Passion for, and some understanding of, live music today.
• Highly self-motivated
• Reliable, even-tempered, calm and cool under pressure Excellent communication skills.
• Ideally you live in the Bay Area, or within a few hours' drive away so we can easily meet face to face when required.
